Target experience · early access is paper-only

Your Mac mini.
Your future trading engine.

Constellation is being built to run on your Mac, connect to one Alpaca Paper account, and show every released strategy, decision, and paper trade in your browser.

Paper first. You stay in control.

£9.99 is a one-time Constellation payment. Alpaca Basic is free; Algo Trader Plus is currently $99/month paid directly to Alpaca. The lane matrix below shows what has actually passed release evidence.

Get started

Three steps to your trading room.

  1. 1

    Mac mini installation is next

A guided Mac mini install is next. We will call it supported only after a clean target-hardware run without Terminal or typed sudo.

  2. 2

    Connect one Alpaca account

Create or use your own Alpaca Paper account, then connect it through Alpaca’s secure browser approval. No Polygon account and no second paper account are required.

  3. 3

    Watch it in Observatory

Choose strategies, prove them in paper, and monitor Equities, Day Trading, and Options.

One clear view

The whole operation, explained in plain English.

Observatory is designed to show what each released champion is doing, why it is doing it, what happens next, and whether you need to act.

  • Three lanes, one consistent operating view
  • Evidence-based release decisions
  • Paper account and connection state made visible

From research to paper proof

Every lane needs evidence before it can be released.

Equities, Day Trading, and Options are three independent proving grounds. A strategy must pass an Alpaca-only historical test and then prove itself in forward paper trading. Live trading is not part of this product.

Target experience · early access is paper-only
  1. 01

    Prove in paper

Each lane records its decisions and trades against fake money first.

  2. 02

    Earn the crown

Only evidence that passes the lane’s stated test becomes a champion.

  3. 03

    Review the evidence

See the data source, test window, fills, costs, drawdown, and reasons a candidate passed or failed.

  4. 04

    Prove it in paper

A qualifying candidate still has to survive forward paper trading before the lane can be released.

Release gate

No lane is released on claims alone.

All lanes locked today

The current build is still proving its complete Alpaca-only funnel. A lane remains unavailable until its data, strategy, backtest, paper execution, reconciliation, and customer explanation all pass together.

Target broker workflow

The target is one consistent paper-position view in Alpaca and Observatory.

You remain in control of the Alpaca Paper account. Constellation must recognise manual changes and reconcile them without fighting the customer.

Target: AI explains changing context.Deterministic strategy and risk rules retain execution authority.

Configurable signals · target experience

Your strategy will be able to listen beyond the price chart.

The planned flow combines market data with news and RSS feeds you trust, while keeping every source and lane choice visible.

Why this signal?

Sources, timestamps, derived facts, and strategy rules stay visible in the decision record.

Local intelligence

AI that has to earn its say.

Constellation is being built so a local model can read the same evidence you do, on the machine beside the engine. Its role is to explain and annotate—not overrule a strategy or crown a champion.

Local by designThe trading path is designed without a frontier-model dependency, keeping inference under your control.
Reads, never decidesThe model is advisory by construction. It cannot move a score, pass a gate, or promote a strategy.
Judged like any indicatorAny influence has to beat the plain mechanical twin under the same honest judge before it can ship.

Apple MLX on the Mac mini is next. MLX can work across the machine's CPU and GPU through one shared-memory model, making it a natural foundation for private local inference. We will call the capability supported only after it has run and passed its evidence gates on the target machine.

Planned community strategies

Build your own. Or start with one the community trusts.

The planned community is where trading ideas will be tested, explained, and shared through the same evidence engine used by built-in strategies.

Concept preview · community not releasedConstellation Strategies showing an active built-in strategy and a personal strategy awaiting approval

For strategy builders

Fancy yourself as a trader?

The target flow lets you turn a thesis into a strategy, run it through the same backtests, and submit the evidence. Approved fixed versions will enter the community library for others to inspect and use.

  1. DevelopDefine the rules
  2. BacktestShow the evidence
  3. PublishShare a fixed version

For new traders

Let proven ideas help you begin.

The target flow lets you browse community-approved strategies, understand the evidence in plain English, then import the exact tested version and run it with paper money first.

  1. DiscoverFind a clear thesis
  2. UnderstandRead its evidence
  3. Try itStart safely in paper

Community voting is next. Upvotes will help the strategies people value most rise through the library.

Do not buy Algo Trader Plus for Constellation yet. No Constellation lane currently requires or benefits from the upgrade in a released build.
